Dutch "Open Door" Retail Study
An independent study by the Dutch Ministry of Economic Affairs has shown how an automatic sliding door can be beneficial for shop owners and sustainable for environment.
The study, which measured both energy use and visitor traffic at a pharmacy in Amsterdam, found that the automatic entrance not only produced significant energy savings, but also helped keep the shop floor clean, noise free and comfortable for customers.
