Besam launches new, high-capacity revolving door with superior safety features
Besam’s new high-capacity three-wing revolving door pairs user convenience and superior safety with lower maintenance costs.
ASSA ABLOY Entrance Systems, a leading supplier of automated entrance solutions, is launching its newest product, the Besam RD3L. This state-of-the-art, high-capacity revolving door is designed to meet the demand for large revolving doors that can safely and easily accommodate continuous pedestrian traffic flow, shopping carts and other wheeled traffic such as luggage trolleys and wheelchairs.
With its large, convenient compartments, the new Besam RD3L creates a spacious and welcoming entrance with the highest possible degree of safety for the user. The RD3L’s patented drive mechanism is located in the periphery of the drum, which reduces stress on the drive itself and leads to lower maintenance costs. It also allows operation of the door to be unaffected by high wind loads or by users pushing on the door wings. However, in emergency situations, the door wings are released immediately to create a clear, unimpeded evacuation path.
Like all Besam revolving doors, the RD3L is equipped with the Besam-designed CDC drive control system that can be operated remotely by a computer equipped with a modem. Its automatic diagnostics can be stored in an event log that can easily be connected to Besam’s local service operations, ensuring minimum downtime.
The Besam RD3L’s a full rotating ceiling creates even lighting and eliminates brush marks, while hidden safety sensors allow for maximum coverage of the compartments without cluttering the appearance, producing clean lines and beautiful aesthetics that will compliment any building. The RD3L can be ordered in several different configurations and diameters depending on the customer’s individual needs. An optional night-closing door provides an elegant solution for optimum security.
The Besam RD3L meets DIN 18650 standards as a minimum for all orders. It is designed to be installed directly on the finished floor surface with no special foundations required.
