The Assignment

Provide door automation for the maternity ward of  the Centre Hospitalier Robert Ballanger in
Villepinte, France.

The Challenge

• The Centre Hospitalier Robert Ballanger was charged with remodelling its premises as part of official French government hospital reform in 2007.
• The architectural firm of Behar & Ferenczi was hired to bring a more human touch to the traditionally "cold" medical environment of the maternity ward.
• The renovation work could not interrupt regular operation of the maternity ward, requiring additional coordination and special precautions for construction-zone safety.

The Solution

Besam was selected for its quality products and application expertise in entrance solutions for the health care sector. The architects chose Besam UniSlides equipped with special window panels to give the ward a warmer feel.
