The Assignment

Providing automated hermetic doors for the entrances to three laboratories at Halmstad Hospital in Halmstad, Sweden

The Challenge

• Creating reliable and convenient automatic entrances that meet the hospital’s specific security needs
• Providing hygienic, well-sealing doors to ensure laboratory integrity

The Solution

After evaluating proposals from three door automation companies, the hospital chose the Besam Hermetic sliding door system for the laboratories, which is specially designed for clean room environments. The product’s reliability, combined with the hospital’s previous experience with the company, helped Besam win the contract.

In addition to the hermetic doors, Besam also assisted Halmstad Hospital in automating 150 swing doors and 10 additional sliding doors, resulting in a complete solution that includes Besam Service performed by local technicians in the Halmstad area.
